I had another real life pop quiz when I mis-dialed a phone call to Korea. Now I have a live Korean speaking saying 여보세요 (hello)? After I realized the voice wasn’t my language exchange partner, I managed 죄송합니다 (sorry) but had not a clue how to say “I dialed the wrong number”. So I said it in 영어 English, and probably left a very confused Korean trying to figure out why some American girl was calling. Haha.
Note to self. Memorize these from Naver Dictionary:
죄송합니다 Sorry.
번호가 틀립니다. Wrong number.
미안합니다. 잘못 걸었습니다. I’m sorry, I have the wrong number.
잘못 거신 것 같습니다. I’m afraid you have the wrong number.
