Reading and Storytelling

Teachers know stuff.  They have researched what methods work to help students learn. Specifically, people like Stephen Krashen and Blaine Ray have promoted learning language through comprehensible input and total physical response.

One teacher’s website talks about Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS).  Language instruction should be full of rich input (both spoken and written language) that the student chooses.  She gushes about how once you use these methods in teaching, you see for yourself how effective they are.

Can we self-learners incorporate reading and storytelling into our own learning?
