Emulating communication

“A language is not just vocabulary and grammar; it is an entire spectrum of communication, from the clothes we wear to our posture, hand gestures, personal space, pauses, volume, intonation, and a host of other verbal and non-verbal cues.” – Benny Lewis, the Irish Polyglot

Ever since watching Whitney’s video comparing her Korean vs. American personas, I have been thinking about what I would need to change besides just words.   I’ve seen polyglots who seem to entirely change from speaking one language to the next.

Which Korean would you like to emulate?

The soft, elegant voice of the Queen Mother from Goong drama is whom I desire to emulate.
