I am getting side tracked by trying to figure out the grammar that is mentioned in passing on the KDA videos.  Examples:  못, ㅁ, ~고.

For now, I will have to satisfy myself with short, incomplete comprehension and dig deeper later.

ㅁ  used on verbs to make into nouns.  Read TTMIK Level 9 Lesson 9

못 means can’t … not able to or prevented by external forces.  It either comes before or gets stuck between the noun part and verb.   Read “Korean Grammar In Use” Unit 2.

Reginald은 노래를 부르지 못해요 = Reginald은 노래를 못 불러요. Reginald can’t sing.

고 means ‘and’ between clauses.  하고 means ‘and’ between nouns.
