Hanja for Cimi: 木 tree 나무

木 tree 나무

Tree is one of those basic building blocks you see in lots of Chinese characters.  Chineasy shows you 木 as a tree.

Notice that 木 has four strokes.

  1. Cimi says:

1 tree, 2 trees (woods), 3 trees (forest) (\It would be fun to write, “You can’t see the tree for the forest.”
    1 person, 2 people, 3 people (crowd)
    I like how this works.

  2. It’s still a mystery to me how to read 林 and 森 in Korean, the words using them just never appeared.
