Zen Yoga

Some Zen temples include exercise (taiso). Zen Yoga blends the flowing movements of Tai Chi, the energized breathing of Qigong, the gentle stretching of Shanti Yoga, and the serenity of mindful meditation.

The key of being mindful and living a balanced life begins with getting in touch with your body and understanding its close connection to your mind and overall state of being.

“‘Mind practice’ often gets emphasized in books but I found ‘body practice’ to be stressed equally. The two are indeed closely connected–it’s nearly impossible to talk about Buddhist practice without taking the human body into account.” –
