Hanja for Cimi: 中 Center 중

中 Center 중

center

I found the strokes surprising, both in order and number.

You can find it in phrases like center (中心), middle school (中学), midday (中午), between (中间), and China (中国).  In Korean,  center (중심), middle school (중학교), midday (정오), between (중간), and China (중국).

國 country 국

Korea is Hanguk 한국. (Republic of Korea is 대한민국 大韓民國.) USA is Miguk 미국 美國. England is Yeongguk 영국 英國. China is Jungguk 중국 中國. In each case, ‘guk’ is the part that means country.

The country in the center is China.

중국 中國 China

The simplified character for country is 国.  It is a combination of  Jade (玉) and Surround (囗).  China is the country of Jade.  Jade in Korean is  .

Jadecountry

中文 Chinese written language

Korean language is hangukeo 한국어. English is yeongeo 영어. Chinese language is junggukeo 중국어.
