Chinese Brush Painting – gold fish & panda

This video shows how the colors are mixed on the brush.  It also demonstrates how the artist holds the brush.

“Chinese painting requires a lot of practice.  If you mess up one stroke, you just have to throw the whole thing away.  You must know how to mix the colors, and also a lot of experience.  So every stroke is like years of practice.”

Note how loosely she holds the brush and can fluidly use all sides of the brush by moving her wrist.

Video made by Moon Bear World for Ichen Art Academy.
